Welcome to Refuge

Welcome to the Refuge Calvary Chapel Bradenton web site. Within these pages you'll find information about our church, our ministries, and most importantly, who Jesus Christ is and how you can begin a personal relationship with Him (Find out now!). That's really the focus of what we do at Refuge - we love Jesus and want to live for Him and teach others how they can too. 

Refuge Calvary Chapel Bradenton is a relatively new church. Responding to God's leading in 2005, my wife Elaine and I came to Bradenton, Florida to start a Calvary Chapel church. In June of that year, we began meeting on Sunday evenings, having church in our living room. Then on Easter Sunday of 2006, we moved  the church to Sunday mornings at the Ballard School in Bradenton. That's where we still meet today. We are so greatful to the Lord for all that He has done in our church - He has been so faithful to provide for me and Elaine and everyone else who calls Refuge their church home.

Our Heart Toward the Minitry

If there is one theme that the Lord continues to speak to us concerning our church, it is this. He is calling us to simply Love & Feed His Sheep and to make Calvary Chapel Bradenton a Refuge for all those who fellowship with us. That's what this ministry is all about - loving and caring for God's people and feeding them His Word. The Lord keeps whispering to my heart -"Ray, simply Love & Feed My Sheep! That's it! Just be faithful in that one thing and I'll do the rest!!"

Wow! There sure is great freedom in that! We as a church body be faithful to love and feed God's people and He'll take care of the rest!
