History

Refuge Calvary Chapel Bradenton is an evangelical, non-denominational church affiliated with the Calvary Chapel family of churches.  The Calvary Chapel movement began in California during the 1960′s under the leadership of Chuck Smith. What started as a church of 25 members has grown into a large internationally known ministry with nearly 2000 Calvary Chapel churches around the world.

In 1995, a Calvary Chapel pastor, Ray Dick and his wife Elaine responded to the call of God on their lives by moving from Naples, Fl to begin a Bible study in Bradenton, Fl. The rest is history. From that Bible study, the Lord has raised up a wonderful church body at Refuge Calvary Chapel Bradenton. To learn more about our church, Click Here.
