What should I expect?
Refuge
Quit honestly, the reason this church has Refuge in our name is because that is exactly what we want to be. A "Refuge" or "Safe Place" where followers of Jesus Christ can come to fellowship and be encourgaed and built up in the faith. We also desire to point non-Christians to Jesus, so that they too can find Refuge in Him and experience His amazing love, grace and forgiveness.
So in short… our hope and prayer is that whether you are a follower of Jesus or not, that you would find REFUGE in Jesus when you come to fellowship with us!
Worship Service
As far as our church service goes. The most important emphasis of our lives is to glorify Jesus. He has done such awesome things in saving us, and we want to sit at His feet, express our thanks and praises to Him, and honor Him by learning more of Him. And therefore, at each of our worship services, there is emphasis on contemporary praise and worship, as well as teaching through the Bible.
Praise & Worship
The focus of worship is God Himself. The ministry of worship and praise is intended to draw our hearts into an attitude of joyful praise and reflection as we offer up to the Lord "the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name" (Hebrews 13:15). Worship prepares our hearts to receive instruction from His Word. Our time of worship typically last around 30 minutes.
Teaching the Bible
Learning more about Jesus is the ultimate expression of our faith & worship. As we seek Jesus through His Word, we continually discover that He is more wonderful than we ever imagined. Learning more of Jesus leads us to put less confidence in ourselves and trust more in Him.
Our pastor teaches verse-by-verse (expositionally) through the Bible on Sunday mornings. We are currently meeting Sundays at 10AM at Ballard Elementary School in Bradenton where we are studying through the Book of Galatians. By exploring the Bible in this manner, our hope is to increase your own appetite to study the Word on your own, and discover the life changing truths that are contained within! The teaching portion of our worship service typically last for 45 minutes.
What should I wear?
We are more concerned with ministering to you than with what you wear. So, dress casually and you’ll fit right in.
