>>TO SUBMIT PRAYER REQUEST (Click Here)<<

Guidelines for the ministry can be found here.

Thank for participating in the prayer ministry at Refuge Calvary Chapel Bradenton. It is such a blessing to so many. To help all of us better minister in this very important ministry, we have provided some helpful guidelines that we ask you to consider before submitting prayer request.

The guidelines are this:

The guidelines are few and our sole purpose is to be a blessing. They have been established in the spirit of love and kindness toward all those who minister and are ministered to by this awesome ministry.

1.    Frequency of Email - For those of you who are signed up to receive prayer request updates via email. (sign up on the home page using the box on the upper right corner of the screen that says "Get Email Updates") As the volume of prayer request has increased as the ministry has grown, we sense the need to pool all request for any given day and send them out in one email message per day. The hopes is too reduce the number of emails that we are sending to you. Of course, if the request is urgent, we will send it out as soon as we get it. Please feel free to send your request at anytime to prayer@bradentonchurch.com – it just might be a few hours until it goes out with the rest of the request in one email.

2.    More Can Be Less (Sometimes) – the amazing thing about the Lord is that He knows our request before they even become a thought in our minds. We want to encourage you as you send prayer request to be very sensitive about how much information you share about the person or situation that you want the body to pray about. For example: Rather than write a request such as. “Please pray for John Smith, he has a terrible drug addition”. It would be a real blessing to all involved, especially John Smith, that less is shared in writing something like. “Please pray for John Smith, he needs our prayer”. You could even make the prayer request generic, such as. “Please pray for a friend of mine, he has a terrible drug addiction”. The awesome thing about our God is that He knows all the details that the rest of us don’t have to. And as we pray, we can pray just as fervently without knowing all the specifics. So please be sensitive in what you share and don’t share.

3.    Prayer Request Updates – We would also ask everyone to please consider providing updates on prayer request whenever possible - especially those that are urgent.  That way we know how to continue to pray for that person or situation.

This is an incredible ministry and our hearts desire is to make it even better in the Lord as we consider the preciousness of others. As always, we would love to hear your thoughts, feedback and ideas on these guidelines as well any other area of the ministry.

Grace & peace,

Refuge Servants
