Much of our witness for Christ begins in the home. We are in that section of Peter’s letter where he is challenging us to Lifestyle Evangelism. That is, being a witness for Jesus through Godly living. Here in the opening verses of 1 Peter 3, Peter instructs wives how they can be a “Woman of Witness.”

Just as the Statue of Liberty symbolizes our freedom as US Citizens, Jesus wants Christians to live in such a way that we symbolize the freedom that we have in Christ. He wants us to be monumentsof Christian liberty, which in turn is a witness for the power of the gospel to change lives.

Our true identity as Christians comes from who we are in Christ.
