Refuge is more than a name, it's a person - Jesus Christ. And as His folowers, we want our gatherings to be places of Refuge for hurting and weary people. A place where they can come together and fellowship together in the protection, comfort and peace of Jesus. Jesus is our Refuge!! He is our fortres, our rock, our deliver. We just want to get into His presence when we come together to teach His Word, fellowship, and pray together. That’s where we’ll find safety and refuge - in Jesus presence! Women’s Monthly Gathering (1st Tuesday at 7PM)
The desire of the Women’s Ministry at Refuge is to impact women's hearts and lives with the power and love of Jesus Christ as they are encouraged and exhorted through the Word. The heart of this ministry is to serve; serve with a passion to teach, to equip, to strengthen and encourage the women of the body of Christ so that they may live a Christ centered life as they build their one on one relationship with Jesus and their relationships with their families, friends, coworkers and with one another. We encourage the women to step out in faith and use their gifts and talents to build up the body as they go forth and make disciples. (Colossians 3:16-17).
That's our heart when we meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month for a time of worship, Bible study and fellowship. We hope you can join us so that we can be mutually encouraged in the Lord. Men’s Monthly Gathering (2nd Tuesday – 7PM)
We are so blessed to have a awesome Men’s Ministry at Refuge where the men of the body realize their strong need for getting together for encouragement and accountability in God’s Word. That’s why each month one of the guys in body teaches from the Bible and then opens it up for the rest of us in a group format to challenge, encourage and equip one another in the faith. Men, we sure know how much we need that sharpening each month! That’s our heart when we meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month for a time of worship, Bible study and fellowship. We sure hope that you can join us as we are mutually encouraged in the Lord!

Shepherd School (4th Tuesday – 7PM)
Shepherd School is a men’s discipleship ministry that’s meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday of the month. Our desire is to encourage and equip men to grow in their love and service toward those whom the Lord has called them to minister - at home, in the church, and at the workplace. We typically have a time of Bible study followed by discussion. We’d be blessed to have you join us to be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus as we learn and grow in Him! Praise & Prayer Service (Wednesdays – 7PM)
Jesus works in amazing ways as His church prays! That’s why we have set our heart toward the Lord asking Him to do great and mighty things in and through our body as we honor and seek Him in prayer every Wednesday night. This is no ordinary prayer meeting. It’s a worship service! Where we set apart time for worship, communion, prayer & fellowship! You see, in addition to offering up our thanks & praise to our King and interceding on behalf of the lost, hurting and those in need of direction and comfort. We want to honor the Lord with the fruit of our lips, and to remember His Cross in a time of communion each week. So as the Lord leads, come join us as we watch the Lord do amazing things (Ephesians 3:20) in and through our body at Refuge!

Youth Group (Wednesdays – 7PM)
Our desire as a body is to pour in the truth of God’s Word into our youth. That’s why the Youth Group meets every Wednesday for Bible Study & fellowship - that the Lord might teach them His precious promises and precepts so that they too can proclaim His wondrous deeds (Psalm 71:17)
If you have a son or daughter, a family member or friend, or you yourself are in grades 7-12, please come out and join us, we’d be blessed to worship Jesus with us. Just bring a Bible and yourself and we’ll bring the pizza and God’s Word.

Downtown Outreach (3rd Thursday after 5:30PM)
Every 3rd Thursday of the month, Team Harvest, the evangelism team at Refuge makes their way to the Get Down Downtown celebration to shine the light of Jesus Christ on Bradenton. Everyone is invited to join us.
We set up an awesome booth (GetAnswersNow.org) where we hand out lots of tracts, books, as well as audio & video messages that point folks to Jesus. We begin setup at 5:30PM. Show up any time after that.
Please pray for the Lord to arrange for some divine appointments and that we would be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit to proclaim the gospel in love and boldness to our city!

Life Group (1st & 3rd Friday – 7PM)
Jesus used the 1st century church to turn the world upside down (Acts 17:6). Wow! How awesome it would be for Jesus to use us at Refuge in the same way. If that’s our desire, then we better make sure that we are doing the same things they were. One of the main areas that was and still is foundational to our Christian growth. It is a steady diet of God’s Word. Our Bible Life Group is designed to do just that. To feed us as Jesus’ sheep! It’s a time when we get together to revisit the previous Sunday’s passage and start digging in as we seek the Holy Spirit to show us how to apply God’s Word to our life. The group might be more aptly named Bible Life “Application” Group. Whatever the name, it’s a great time to devote ourselves to God’s Word. So as the Lord leads, come out and join us one Friday as we allow the Lord to grow us together in His Word!. We meet at Ken & Joanne's house.
