Resurrection Sunday is a great time to once again celebrate the cross of Jesus Christ. That’s what we did this year at Refuge. We elevated and lifted up the cross as we consider Christ on the Cross Substituting, Satisfying and Rejoicing!

Stop Messing with the Message! (Galatians 1:1-9)

As was the case when Paul initially wrote his letter to the Galatians, the gospel of grace is still under attack. Paul’s message to those who are perverting the gospel has not changed. God has given mankind but one gospel and it is the gospel of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ ALONE.So we better not mess with it.

God Pleasers (Galatians 1:10-24)

The false teachers in Paul’s day actually accused him of being a people pleaser. Now, that’s funny. If there was ever a person who was NOT a people pleaser, it was Paul. But that was just one of the many ways they tried to silense the gospel of grace – discredit the messenger. As Paul makes his defense, we see how we too might be God Pleasers!

Freedom Fighter (Galatians 2)

Grace was under attack in Galatia, just like it remains today. False teachers toting a false gospel infiltrate the church and they hate the message of grace. All the more reason that we as followers of Jesus must become like Paul… Freedom Fighters for Grace!!

Have you considered how blessed you are lately as a follower of Jesus? Those that have put their faith in Jesus are recipients of God’s promise of redemption originally given to Abraham and therefore blessed right along with Abraham! As children of God because of our faith in Jesus Christ, we have an amazing inheritance that God has promised us. In part one of our message "Children of God", we see that our inheritance has a future aspect to it. Paul calls it a "Living Hope." That’s yours today Christian, no matter how bad things are today, you have a Living Hope of an eternity with Jesus. Wow!
